TO TIME INVESTED BUSINESS OWNERS, CHIEFS & MANAGERS WHO WANT TO REACH FAR BEYOND AVERAGE - WHO WANT EXCELLENCE - to fully express what they are capable of in business - without holding back.
Sydney, Australia - For years, focus has been treated as a soft skill: something you “improve” with better habits, sharper discipline, or stronger motivation.
That era may be ending.
A growing number of founders, executives, and high-performance leaders are quietly turning to John Fortis, a private 1:1 coach whose work is being described by clients as
“the first framework on focus that actually holds up under pressure.”
The reason is not personality, hype, or productivity tricks.
It’s definition. READ MORE
He began his entrepreneurial journey at 19, founding an event management business that generated over $600,000 in its first year. Alongside this, John completed a dual trade as a fitter and turner, as well as diplomas in Business Administration and Event Management.
Forming a rare blend of technical discipline and commercial acumen.
After working in mining across Central Queensland, John transitioned deliberately into business, starting from the ground up. With no formal marketing or sales background at the time, he worked his way from door-to-door sales through to senior commercial and leadership roles. His career progression includes positions in sales execution, business development, marketing, and operational leadership across finance, insurance, SaaS, consulting, and heavy industry.
Notably, John played a key role in scaling major business outcomes: contributing to a successful ASX listing for a SaaS company, selling out national consulting events, and leading mining shutdown operations that grew annual revenue from $7 million to $26 million within a single year.
John is a deeply practical operator. He has spent his career inside businesses, on the floor, in the field, and in leadership, rather than observing from the sidelines. His core fascination has always been value creation and monetisation: how businesses actually make money, where effort is wasted, and how structure either amplifies or destroys results.
Today, John consults to business owners, executives, and operators who are heavily time-invested and carrying complexity. His work focuses on strategic clarity, execution discipline, and leverage, starting with time.
His flagship advisory offering, 10Xing Focus, helps leaders redesign the architecture of their calendars so daily action aligns with long-term objectives. The premise is simple but uncompromising: when time, attention, and energy are structured correctly, performance compounds; when they are not, even the most capable leaders stall.
While the principles extend across teams and organisations, the design always begins—and ultimately returns—to the leader. Teams reflect the operating rhythm they are given. When a leader’s time is structured with clarity and intent, alignment cascades; when it is fragmented, dysfunction follows. 10Xing Focus ensures the leader becomes the stabilising force around which effective execution is built.
John’s work sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and human capacity, helping businesses get more value out of what they already have by aligning focus with outcomes that matter.
